2318 (Aberkenfig) Squadron recently held its annual squadron presentation evening.

This event takes place to celebrate the achievements that the cadets have achieved throughout the year. It is done in the company of the cadets, family members, squadron staff and senior officers within No 3 Welsh Wing ATC.

This year, the squadron received donations from our treasurer Clive Williams and local man Alan Smith. They both donated the funds in memory of their late wives, Kim and Diana. The banner will be embroidered with their names to remember them.

2318 (Aberkenfig) Squadron has never had a squadron banner and it was the donation received from both Clive and Alan that enabled us to purchase one: we want to take this opportunity to thank them both for making this happen.

The banner was blessed by our recently-appointed squadron Padre, Reverend Stephen Pear, and will now be used at formal ATC parades and on Remembrance Sunday.

2318 (Aberkenfig) Squadron meets on both Tuesday and Friday evenings between 7pm and 9.15pm at Bryncethin Memorial Hall. We welcome young people aged 12+ who are in year-8, and adult volunteers who wish to volunteer and aid the squadron to facilitate our training programme.
