Amistice remembrance service in Porthcawl – Glamorgan Gem

THE Remembrance Service in Porthcawl this year will be held on Sunday morning, November 8 at 10.30am in?All Saints’ Church, Victoria Avenue, and we cordially invite the public to join us on this occasion.

All townspeople, religious denominations and other organisations are invited to attend the Armistice Service, and we especially invite those organisations who have a standard or flag, to take part in the service.

There will be a parade commencing at 9.45am. Please form up on the piazza adjacent to the lifeboat station by 9.30am. Wreaths will be made available for those who wish to parade with them.

The salute will be taken at the bandstand, John Street.

Please note that refreshments will be served in the church hall following the Laying of Wreaths.

There will be two minutes’ silence, with the Exhortation and Last Post, at 11am at the bandstand, John Street, Porthcawl on Wednesday, November 11. Participants are asked to assemble at 10.45am. All are welcome to attend.
