Alan Johns, who has been in good form of late, chalked up another winner last Thursday when winning the three horse Dave Criddle Travel Bristol Airport Chase for Aberthin trainer Tim Vaughan.

Riding six-year-old Bells Of Ailsworth, a 9-4 chance, and who at six years old was the youngest horse in the race, he finished well ahead of the outsider of three, Hannibal The Great.

Still Believing, an eight-year-old chestnut mare ridden by Adam Wedge and trained by Evan Williams at Llancarfan, was a 10 lengths winner of the CF Roberts Electrical Mechanical Services Mares’ Handicap Chase at Cheltemham last Friday.

A 16-1 chance, Still Believing had been placed in her previous three races this season.
