British Legion concert in Porthcawl

The Porthcawl Royal British Legion held a ‘Poppy’ Concert at All Saints Church, Porthcawl, on Saturday, April 23.

The concert raised £678. Porthcawl Royal British Legion would like to thank the Porthcawl Male Choir, Sounds Familiar mixed choir, Bethan, Angharad and Meinor, who performed as a trio.

All who took part gave excellent performances and enthralled the audience.

Thanks must also be given to all the standard bearers, Robert Young, the trumpeter who concluded the Remembrance part of the evening, with Geraint John on the organ and everyone singing the national anthems.

Thanks to all the cadet forces, the Rector Philip Masson for allowing the use of All Saints Church, and providing refreshments in the concert interval.

Finally, thanks to the audience for coming and raising £678 for the RBL Porthcawl Poppy Appeal.
