The result leaves them 35 points adrift of Maesteg, who occupy the division’s second promotion spot.

Maesteg overcame Briton Ferry Town, while leaders Porthcawl won at Pontyberem.

Ferry were all out for 36 as only A Tasnem (13) reached double figures.

Maesteg secured victory for the loss of just three wickets.

Pontyberem looked to have a chance against Porthcawl when the table toppers were all out for 120 at the Park.

Craig Evans claimed four wickets at the expense of a mere 11 runs.

But Pontyberem couldn’t capitalise on their advantage as they were all out for 95, handing their opponents a 25-run triumph. Daniel Griffiths made 28 in their innings.

In the division’s other matches, Merthyr Tydfil beat a Dyffryn side who were all out for 67 by seven wickets. And Margam won by 42 runs at Landore, where Elwyn Pugh hit 103.
