Bois Goetre-Hen Male Choir and Florida State University Singers are to help support Porthcawl RNLI lifeboat at a concert to be held at All Saints Church Victoria Ave, Porthcawl on Friday, May 6.

Richard Howells, choir spokesperson for Bois Goetre-Hen, said: “We chose to support Porthcawl lifeboat, who recently celebrated their 50th anniversary in the town, as we are always mindful of the dedication and work the volunteer crews do in saving lives along our coastline.

“Although our members are mainly from valley communities, we and our families do enjoy a visit to Porthcawl and we take interest in the work carried out at the lifeboat station. We are delighted to be joined in our concert by Florida State University Singers and guest soloist Rhydian Jenkins.”

Tickets for this special concert will be priced at £8 and can be purchased at the church on the night or by following the link, The concert will start at 7.30pm, with doors open from 7pm.

RNLI spokesman Ian Stroud said: “This fundraising event means so much to our charity. Our lifeboat crew use such donations to support the cost of training and purchase of equipment all of which we rely on to carry out rescues off our shore.”
