Pyle Porthcawl Photographic Society held its annual Dennis Lines Memorial Trophy Competition on Thursday, October 27 at its new home, the North Cornelly Community Centre, North Cornelly.

Each member could enter up to four images, which could be Digital Images or Prints in any combination.

Dennis Russ judged the competition, and not only awarded the points, but also provided an excellent critique on each image.

It was a very close-fought competition with five images/prints attaining the top mark of 20 points, but the eventual winner was Richard Craze with ‘Ford Sale’.

Joint second place therefore went to the others who scored 20 points and they were Geoffrey Baker for ‘Speed Trial’, David Jones for ‘Looks and Books’, Jeff Evans for ‘After the Storm’ and Ken Needs for ‘Bug Highrise’.

Joint third place went to Geoffrey Baker for ‘Jay on a Log’ and Martyn Derbyshire for ‘Window Light’.

Congratulations to Richard for winning the competition and a big thank you to all who participated for making it such an interesting and entertaining evening.
