Donation to Port Talbot lifeboat station from scouts

MORE than £600 has been donated to the Port Talbot lifeboat station thanks to some energetic Scouts.

Around 20 members of the 5th/8th Port Talbot Scout Group and Y Dreigiau Dwr recently walked from Rest Bay in Porthcawl to Port Talbot lifeboat station to raise funds to be shared equally between both organisations.

The walk was also to mark the opening day of the Welsh National Coastal Path.

Port Talbot RNLI station spokesman Mel Cooper said they really appreciated the donation.
