Recently, in aid of the Mayor’s charity fund, Pim and Mark Morgan brought the flavour, scents and sounds of South-East Asia to Porthcawl with a Thai evening.

Pim laid on and cooked all the traditional Thai cuisine and brought together an entourage of female dancers to demonstrate the finer points of Thai traditional art, colour, music and entertainment.

The evening was attended by the-then Mayor of Porthcawl, Coun Robert Lee and his lady Mayoress, wife Ann.

With Pim at the music console, dancers Well Kimpton, Nan Evans and Eui Goole, dressed in traditional Thai costumes, performed a number of delightful Thai dances to an enthusiastic and appreciative audience.

Miss Bridgend 2016-2017, Emma Khamman-eechan joined the dancers for a group photograph and the entertainment was concluded by a demonstration of Thai kick boxing given by Nogel Jones.

The event was well supported by all who attended with approximately £630 raised as a result for the Mayor’s charity fund.

Report and photographs by Keith E Morgan.
