Event in Porthcawl Grand Pavilion celebrates achievements of children in care

THE inspirational achievements of children and young people in Bridgend Council’s care were celebrated at a ceremony in the Grand Pavilion in Porthcawl.

They included children who had overcome school phobia, bullying, attendance problems, and school difficulties.

Others had excelled in reaching their potential in school, sports and doing activities in the community.

Tracey and Jeff Gadja won an award too, for their role as dedicated foster carers.
