The new Winter Exhibition is currently on display at The Porthcawl Art Society (above the museum) John Street, Porthcawl (CF36 3BA) and open most days from 11am – 4pm. It runs until the end of December.

It is well worth a visit as there is a spectacular variety of artwork in the exhibition, and it was a difficult task for the judge, David Newton-Williams, to select the prize winners.

Prizes were awarded as follows: first, ‘Last Voyage’ by Wendy Davies Williams; second ‘Blue Top’ by Jan Hoskins and third ‘Hazel Eyes’ by Jeff Barnes. Most Original, ‘Vulcan’ and ‘Red Flag’ by Robert Taylor.

Highly Commended prize winners were: ‘Neath Abbey’ by Tricia Simon and ‘Did I hear the word dinner?’ by Jan Hoskins.

Commended prize winners were ‘Winter at Castell Coch’ by Barbara Thomas, ‘Deep in Thought’ by Linda Trigg and ‘Rusting Away’ by Wendy Davies-Williams.
