The annual Flyers Festive Forty featured over 120 cyclists tackling 40 miles of the Vale’s damp and dirty lanes on the last Saturday of 2017.

Starting at Pontyclun Rugby club, the route wound its way via Cowbridge on to Corntown, Wick, Llantwit for a rest stop, and then back to Pontyclun.

Despite the conditions, the ride was a great success with everyone safely finishing the course and enjoying a mulled wine and mince pie at the half way point.

The event was organised by the Pontyclun Flyers Cycling Club and has raised over £2,000 this year for charity. Thanks must go to Pontyclun Rugby Club for providing the start and finish venue, Trustmark Pontyclun for all the printing and signage, and Wine Street Cafe in Llantwit Major for hosting the mid-ride break.
