Porthcawl Lions Club are delighted to announce that with their early season fundraising, they have been able to raise over £1,400 from the fortnightly book sales and annual May Fair.

With only two having so far taken place for this season, the book sales are doing really well. The club is always seeking donations of good quality books. If you can help, please contact us via our website or call the number below.

As for May Fair, the event (at All Saints’ Church) was opened by the Mayor Coun Robert Lee who stayed for the whole day, lending a hand in a judging role when needed.

With support from many local organisations, club president Don Tickner expressed his thanks to everyone for their “tremendous support” in helping sustain the May Fair for over three decades.

Just a reminder … the Lions Charity Golf Day tees off on June 2 at the Grove Golf Club, and the Lions Centennial ‘Audience with Niall Ferguson’ will take place on June 21 at All Saints’ Church.
