POLICE have released a CCTV image of two men they want to speak to in connection with a spate of attempted burglaries in Porthcawl.

On Tuesday, July 28, burglars managed to gain access to the Seabank Hotel in the early hours of Sunday.

But they were disturbed by the hotel owner and made off.

Just hours earlier, at just gone 3am, police received a call from the Fairways Hotel which is nearby, where two males were seen trying to gain entry to the premises via a vent leading to the kitchen area before being disturbed and leaving the area.

It is also suspected that the same two men gained entry to the Glamorgan Holiday Hotel the same morning where an alarm was activated in the early hours.

The two men were captured on CCTV cameras and police would urgently like to trace them as part of their investigations.

Officers are appealing to anybody who thinks they recognise either of the men to come forward as soon as possible.

They are also urging hotel and guest house owners, and the general public, to be vigilant as they suspect the pair may strike again.

Little is known about the two men who carried out the burglary attempts, other than that one may have a foreign accent.

“One was believed to be wearing a red hooded top while the other may have been wearing a blue tracksuit,” said a spokesman for South Wales Police.

Anyone with information on the men in the picture is asked to contact South Wales Police via 101 quoting reference *273306.

Or you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
