South Wales Central AM Andrew RT Davies is urging Vale residents to support Make a Difference Day.

The event, which takes place on October 28, encourages people to volunteer to help good causes in their area.

Ahead of the event, Mr Davies visited Glamorgan Voluntary Services Volunteer Fayre in Barry and also met Marie Curie volunteers from Penarth to discuss the great work they do.

Mr Davies said: “Volunteers add so much to our communities, and many good causes would not be able to function without them. That’s why I’m proud to support Make a Difference Day.

“It was great to have the chance to meet Marie Curie volunteers Enfys Jones and Sarah and Sian Higson to learn more about the great work they do.

“Having visited Marie Curie’s Penarth Hospice several times, I know how invaluable it is to cancer sufferers and their families – so I’d urge you to get out there and make a difference on October 28.”
