POLICE are renewing an appeal for information about an assault in Trecco Bay which left an 18-year-old man seriously injured in hospital.

Connor Marshall, from Barry, was attacked in the caravan park between 1am and 7am on Sunday after he had two friends had returned from a night out in Porthcawl. Officers say he was found lying outside one of the caravans in the Firs area of the park with life-threatening injuries, and is currently in intensive care in the University Hospital Wales in Cardiff.

A South Wales Police spokesman said: “Detectives are renewing their appeal for anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious around the Cedars, Firs or Beeches areas within Trecco Bay between 1am and 7am on Sunday, March 8, to get in touch.”
