Yet again at our meeting, members stood in memory of a member who had died – Sheila Vaughan, a very brave and strong lady who will be much missed.

We have had a very sad start to the year, but also we are getting new members, so must stay positive.

All our groups have been in action – the crafts, games, literary and luncheon groups. We also went to the Pavilion lunchtime drama, which is proving popular. Guild members can always find some activity to enjoy.

We welcomed Mr Alan Badmington on a return visit as speaker to our meeting.

It was a thought provoking and very amusing take on ‘How Old Did You Say You Are?’ He will definitely be invited back!

Our meeting next month is on May 11 at 2pm at All Saints Church Hall, when Mr Romeo Bassini will be continuing his talk of last year on ‘The Italian Connection’. We enjoyed it last year, so do come and hear more; all welcome.
