Residents to meet at museum

A CHANGE of venue has been announced for the next meeting of Swansea’s Maritime Quarter Residents’ Association.

The meeting was due to take place at Swansea’s Civic Centre on Tuesday, November 6, at 7pm.

It will now be held at the city’s National Waterfront Museum with an extra item added to the agenda.

Environment Agency Wales will be giving a presentation in the light of an application it has received from a ship-breaking firm looking to expand its operations.

Swansea Drydocks Ltd wants a changed permit to allow it to include a wet berth area.

The meeting will feature a discussion on whether the maritime quarter is truly the jewel in Swansea’s crown.

Guests will also be given an opportunity to hear an update on the latest suggestions for use of the Observatory.
