Ryder Cup Sponsor Discovers Hidden Gem

Wokingham, England (PRWEB) May 9, 2006

Launching a new product in a market as mature as golf is no mean task, even for the multi-national brands with mega-product development and marketing budgets, and yet, an entrepreneur from Wokingham – England, with no more than a great idea, still in its infancy, has secured deals with the likes of BMW, P&O Cruises, Royal Bank of Scotland and the official bank of the Ryder Cup…the Allied Irish Bank.

The reason…Virtual Caddy has secured the rights to produce a new type of inter-active course guide for some of the most prestigious golf courses in the UK & Ireland including…                                        Wentworth, Gleneagles, Carnoustie, Royal Lytham, Ballybunion, Royal Porthcawl host to this year’s Ryder Cup… The K Club in Ireland.

Because the guides are unlike anything else that has ever been produced, and have the potential to attract the interest of golfers from around the world, the brands that align themselves to golf are showing more and more interest in virtualcaddy.com.

Whilst the website, allows subscribers to see and hear how to play all 18 holes of these great courses from the comfort of the home or office, Allied Irish Bank have taken the opportunity one step further and have commissioned Virtual Caddy to create a Limited Edition version of the K Club specifically for the Sony PSP, so that their guests will be the first to use Virtual Caddy in a mobile format. We know that we have still some way to go, but as we develop our website, and extend our portfolio to introduce courses from around the world, we expect interest to develop further’.

Jim goes on..’ All of our energy has been focussed on developing the portfolio and proving the concept, which we have now done, having attracted thousands of subscribers from across the world and now commissions and sponsorship deals with brands normally associated with the likes of Luke Donald and Jack Nicklaus ’
