On May 22, Porthcawl Comprehensive School was assessed against the ‘South West Grid for Learning 360 Degree Safe Cymru Self Review Tool’ (SWGL360DSCSR) to judge whether or not we could be awarded the ‘online safety mark’.

We are pleased to say we passed, and with flying colours.

Porthcawl Comprehensive School is the first comprehensive school in the Central South Consortium to gain this award and only the second comprehensive in Wales.

The Online Safety Mark looks closely at the work the school has been doing (and will continue to do) in order to ensure that our pupils, staff, and all those linked to the school, are as safe as possible when using ICT in all its forms.

Mrs Sloggett,

Deputy headteacher.
