Tributes to Welsh hairdresser Cara-Jayne Keirl who died on Ibiza aged 28 …

The family of a Welsh hairdresser who died on Ibiza earlier this month have paid tribute to her as “beautiful, bubbly, loving and always looking to help others”.

Cara-Jayne Keirl, who was born in Bridgend, died on the Spanish holiday island on June 9.

Her family have asked for donations in her memory to be made to mental health charity MIND.

‘The most selfless, loyal and loving character imaginable’

The tribute reads: “Cara was born on May 12, 1987, in Bridgend to Cheryl Kenney and Graham Keirl. Her sister Abigail was born 11 months later.

“Both sisters studied at West Park Primary School in Porthcawl followed by Bournside Secondary School in Cheltenham.”

Cara left school in 2004 to pursue a successful career in hairdressing, attending the Toni and Guy Academy in Manchester and had been running her own mobile hairdressing business for clients in the South West Midlands area.

The tribute added: “Cara had most recently been living in the Warmley area of Bristol but continued to serve her customer base throughout Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.

“Cara will be missed enormously by her mother, father, sister, family, friends and clients and will be remembered as a wonderful, generous young lady and an accomplished hairdresser, who would put a smile on the face of everyone she met.

“The most selfless, loyal and loving character imaginable, she tackled life’s difficulties with an unbelievable vigour and energy, always putting the happiness and wellbeing of others above her own.

‘Heartbroken’

“To know her was an absolute joy, and it will bring great sadness to the many people around the region who had the privilege of knowing her.

“As Cara’s family, we are heartbroken at her passing, and will be making arrangements for people who wish to pay tribute to Cara to make donations to MIND, the mental health charity”.
