Valuables worth thousands stolen from Porthcawl house

Police are appealing for information after thousands of pounds worth of watches and rings were taken during the raid of a Porthcawl house.

The burglary happened some time between 5pm and 8pm on Sunday, February 16, at the house in Ramsey Close, Porthcawl.

Entry was gained via a glass panel door at the back of the house, while the owners were out. The burglars smashed the glass to get inside and then ransacked a number of rooms.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: “They got away with valuables worth thousands, such as watches and rings.

“Officers believe attempts will be made to sell items on so want to hear from anyone suspicious of being offered high value jewellery or watches.”

People in the area are also urged to be vigilant, as officers suspect those responsible may target the area again.

Anyone with information about the burglary, who may have noticed somebody acting suspiciously in the area on Sunday, is urged to contact 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
