Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses following a suspected assault in Aberystwyth.

The incident happened at around 9.30pm on February 1 on the corner of Upper Portland Street and Terrace Road.

A 59-year-old man sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of ABH and released under investigation.

Police said they are aware there were a number of people in the vicinity at the time of the incident and would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened or may have information that could help the investigation.
