Man ‘grabbed woman’s bottom’ during Bute Park jog

Police are appealing for information after a man on a bike “grabbed” a woman’s bottom while she was jogging in Bute Park.

The woman was jogging near the Fitness Trail when the incident took place at around 9am this morning.

Police said a man on a bike grabbed her bottom and tried to push her into nearby bushes.

She screamed and he cycled towards the river.

Officers have been patrolling the park throughout the day and increased patrols will continue.

CCTV, which covers various entrances to the park, have been checked for any sightings of the suspect.

The woman’s trousers have also been seized for forensic examination.

The suspect is described as white and between 17 and 22 years old, around 5ft 8in tall, of slim build, with chin-length blonde curly hair and a mole on his cheek.
