To mark national Volunteers’ Week from June 1 to 7, Bridgend Association of Voluntary Organisations (BAVO), together with various local voluntary organisations, will be at the John Street Bandstand in Porthcawl on Tuesday, June 6 and Wednesday, June 7 from 10am to 3pm, to let you know about volunteering opportunities available in the local area.

Volunteers’ Week is an opportunity to recruit, reward and recognise volunteers. BAVO is a county-wide volunteer centre with more than 300 registered voluntary organisations offering a range of opportunities to match your skills and interests.

You can also drop in to BAVO’s Bridgend Volunteer Centre at 2 Queen Street, Bridgend town centre from 10am to 3pm on Thursday, June 1 and Friday, June 2 and from Monday, June 5 to Wednesday, June 7, when BAVO will be raising awareness of different volunteering opportunities.

For further details, call BAVO’s Bridgend Volunteer Centre on 01656 660372.
