We have recently returned from yet another wonderful trip to France.

We have talked our best Franglaise with our hosts, been wined and dined at their homes, been taken to some amazing places and have been made to feel at home in their homes.

Who are we? We’re the Porthcawl half of PSSTTA – the Porthcawl Saint-Sebastien Town Twinning Association.

Next year, provisionally over Easter, it will be our turn to host them here in Porthcawl. Around 45 French people will be coming from Saint-Sebastien- Sur-Loire, very close to Nantes.

If the idea of developing your French, making new international friends and sharing your culture and your homes appeals to you, why don’t you come and meet us at one of our social evenings?

Young and the almost young are always very welcome, individuals or families, whether or not you speak French. We’re a friendly bunch and we have quizzes, raffles, food, wine, a Beaujolais evening.

We celebrate Bastille Day, have Christmas parties, craft fairs and auction nights … and there’s a lot of joie de vivre!

We’re having a ‘Meet and Greet’ evening at All Saints Church Hall at 7pm Saturday, October 29. We’d love to meet Porthcawl residents over wine and nibbles, and a slide-show of our exchange visits and entertainment.

Even if you can’t make it this Saturday, you can read about us on the Twinning web-site, porthcawl-town-twinning.com or visit our Christmas Craft Fair at Trinity Church on November 12.
